Capstone Project|Online Meeting with the Supervisors of the MSc in Data Science Programme of CUHKSZ

Release time:01 March 2024

The demand for professional data scientists is booming and will grow further with the emergence of data collection and analysis in various sectors such as business, government, security, healthcare, biology, science, and the environment. The MSc in Data Science programme has set up the Capstone project as an elective graduation project, in order to help students better integrate theory and practice. Students can choose a supervisor according to their interests. And they will study and discuss practical problems together, and apply their knowledge to works.

As an elective graduation project, Capstone is designed to help students achieve experiential learning by applying the analytical methods, techniques, and tools learned throughout the project to real-world problems. Leveraging the vibrant business and technology markets in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, students will collaborate with real business customers to develop solutions and present results, insights and recommendations.

On September 3, 2022, in order to let students better understand the research direction and field of each supervisor, the programme invited 15 professors to introduce their research areas and topics through an online meeting to help students better understand and plan their course selection and topic selection.
