Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI) 2023 Summer Camp for Outstanding Undergraduates-Mini Camp is now open for application! Application for Mini Camp Beijing is officially opened on December 15, 2022, and applications will be submitted in three rounds (specific time periods are listed below). The assessment format is offline, students are welcome to apply. The location of Mini Camp Beijing will be updated later, please stay tuned.

About Summer Camp

The annual SFI summer camp (open to juniors only) is designed to select the best students from around the world and make pre-admission offers. During the summer camp, written exams/interviews will be held, and the excellent campers will have the opportunity Students with excellent performance will have the chance to get the pre-admission offer and entrance scholarship, the highest entrance scholarship covers 100% tuition fees. The summer camp is divided into Mini Camp and Experience Camp, the Mini Camp is now open for application, the application time of Experience Camp will be notified later.

Beijing Mini Camp

Application Requirements

Applicants must meet the following three requirements.

1. Junior student (graduating in 2024), any majors;

2. For “985” or “211” University Students, their academic results of the first 2 years (or the first 5 semesters) must rank TOP 30%; for non- “985” or “211” University Students, their academic results of the first 2 years (or the first 5 semesters) must rank TOP 10%;

3. English Language Proficiency Requirement:

· CET-4 (not lower than 550); OR

· CET-6 (not lower than 520); OR

· IELTS (Academic) (not lower than Band 6.5); OR

· TOEFL (not lower than 79); OR

· GMAT(Verbal) (not lower than 21); OR

· Other equivalent.

Application Documents

1. A copy of transcripts of the first 2 years (or the first 5 semesters) of undergraduate studies (stamped by the faculty/education department).

2. A copy of school ranking of the first 2 years (or the first 5 semesters) of undergraduate studies (stamped by the faculty/education department). The template can be found on the official website of SFI (“Admissions” – “Resource Download”).

3. Scanned copies of English proficiency qualifications, e.g., English Level 4, Level 6, TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT, etc.

4. Personal Statement (English Version): 600 words.

5. Curriculum Vitae (Chinese & English Version).

6. At least two Recommendation Letters. An email will be sent to the recommender automatically after submitting the application, the recommender will follow the email instructions to submit the Recommendation Letter.

7. Scanned copies of other supporting materials, e.g., published papers, awards, certificates, etc.

8. Upload 1-minute self-introduction video in English.

Caution

1. If the applicant is allowed to return to school during the application period of Mini Camp, all the materials need to be submitted before the deadline. If students are unable to return to school to collect application materials due to the epidemic, they may submit their applications first and later submit the materials in the supplemental documents on the left side of their personal home page in the online application system. Please note that applicants must submit all required documents before the pre-admission and make sure they are valid, otherwise the pre-admission status will be abandoned/cancelled.

2. The specific assessment form and time of the MSc in Data Science programme will be announced on the public WeChat, and be sent through the email to the applicants who have passed the material review.

*SFI Summer Camp application does not require undergraduate college exemption status.
