Biography
Chenglong ZHANG is currently an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He obtained his Ph.D in Management Science with concentration on Information Systems from University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to the doctoral study, he received his bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems from Tianjin University. His main research interests are platform economy and commercial artificial intelligence. Using the tools of analytical modeling, his doctoral dissertation investigated the issues of competition, coopetition, and mechanism design in sharing economy. Beyond deriving economical insights, he is passionate about solving real problems and creating direct business values with machine learning algorithms. He enjoys diving into technical details of the algorithms for better understandings and more importantly designing more efficient algorithms. He is currently involved in some projects with data from major Chinese firms.
