刘祎迪从香港城市大学获得信息系统博士学位，此前，他从华中科技大学获得了物流管理学士学位。他对数字经济、人工智能和普惠金融等领域感兴趣，并一直在研究它们对社会的影响和应用。他还对社交商务、社交影响和游戏研究感兴趣。他主要运用计量经济学、机器学习、文本挖掘和网络分析等方法进行研究。
